Rose and Matthew have a beautiful space surrounded by green rolling hills of farm land. It was nice and cool at night for sleeping. There is an additional lovely outdoor shower surrounded by lush plants and trees. Lokiani is close to some of the best beaches on the island. The town of Waimea is so cute. This place is a gem and we will recommend to all of our friends traveling to the area.

Location was just what we were looking for, secluded but close to beaches, on a beautiful permaculture farm, quiet and dark at night with cool breezes as well! Hosts were excellent with fast communication and accommodating to our needs. Very generous with fruit from the farm as well!

Shambhala is on a beautiful piece of property in the farmlands of Waimea. The unit is very private. There are fruit trees and beautiful flowers right outside your door. There are even fresh herbs growing on the patio. The unit is very clean and well equipped. Our favorite thing was sitting outside at night to watch the stars. The big sky is so dark there. We saw hundreds of shooting stars during our stay. We would gladly stay again and recommend this beautiful property to friends and family.

Shambhala is beautifully integrated as part of an unexpected tropical oasis on the dry side of Waimea. The use of water harvesting techniques, thoughtful forest garden plantings, a citrus orchard and use of local materials makes this experience so unique. It is very clean and beautifully decorated with local, vintage and antique furniture. The BBQ and outdoor seating area are perfect for further enjoying the wildlife that is attracted to this oasis. This property is also a short drive from the local farmers markets to further experience the local community supported agriculture. We highly recommend staying at Shambhala!
