About Us

Our Story

When we are quiet, the ‘Aina (land) speaks to us. If we pause and listen with not only our ears, but with our hearts, we can hear what it is saying.

When Matt and I started living on this land, we would journey outside every evening to connect with each other, while we witnessed the stunning sunsets that belong to Hawaii.

We would dream out loud together and to ourselves. We would communicate with the land, trees, nature spirits, elementals, and the skies. We would say prayers and connect with all of it. We would dream of a place where people could come together. To heal. To be with the land. And to return to their true nature, by being with nature.

And little by little, over the last 13 years, the dreams we wove have become our reality.

At a certain point, we decided to remodel our big beautiful home and turn it into multiple dwellings. We ended up hosting people from all over the world, giving them a little taste of our slice of paradise, while they vacationed on The Big Island of Hawaii.

As we hosted those who traveled here, we saw the impact this land had on people. The way they would arrive, exhausted and overwhelmed with their lives, only to leave feeling lighter, rested, and with a big warm smile on their face.

The dream for this property grew clearer as Matt and I transitioned into elders.

And in my work as an End of Life Midwife, where I have the honor of supporting people as they die. I started to see a clear need for our senior and aging communities. I began to see how our Elders are becoming orphans. These elderly people are living alone with no family, children or friends around them as they prepare for the biggest transition of their lives.

This has inspired us to transition our property into peaceful Co-living rental spaces.

By creating this, we desire to share our sacred, tranquil, living spaces with people who want to live where they feel connected to each other, connected to the land that holds us, and be with those that share our love for Hawaii and the ‘Aina.
